SOUTHEASTERN WINS A “BENNY” AND OTHER MAJOR AWARDS
STUART, FLORIDA (August 30, 2010)
We recently received 25 awards for outstanding achievement in a variety of categories at this year’s Printing Association of Florida’s “Florida Print Awards”, the state’s largest and most important printing competition. In addition, we garnered a coveted "Benny" statue and five national “Premier Print Awards” from the Printing Industries of America’s 61st annual competition.
Southeastern received 8“Best of Category” awards; 8 “Awards of Excellence” and
8 "Judges Awards" from the PAF, as well as the “Best Art Reproduction” trophy for
“The Magical World of M.C. Escher” catalog we printed for the Boca Raton Museum of Art.
As Bruce Herman, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Boca Museum puts it: “All of us at the Boca Raton Museum of Art congratulate you for the numerous awards you have recently received at the FloridaPrint Awards and Printing Industries of America competition. The recognition as being among “the best of the best” is truly well deserved. With each printing project we embark upon with Southeastern, we do so knowing that the level of trade excellence and professionalism employed will produce true masterpieces in their own right. We also received a coveted 2010 “Benny” award from the Printing Industries of America’s annual competition. From more than 3,200 entries, a distinguished panel of judges reviewed all submissions and selected the very best in each category. Southeastern’s “Benny” award represents the “Best of Category” of all entries in the “Brochure/Broadside, Large Format” classification. The brochure was designed by Brian Black for the Boca Raton Museum of Art’s “Clyde Butcher - Wilderness Visions” exhibition. The Benjamin Franklin "Benny" statue is recognized as the "Oscar" of the printing industry and exemplifies the highest achievement for printing standards of excellence.
The “Florida Print Awards” is the printing industry’s largest statewide graphic arts competition. The “Premier Print Awards” is the industry’s most prestigious event.

Southeastern Printing of Stuart has received 33 awards for outstanding achievement in a variety of categories at this year’s Printing Association of Florida’s “Florida Print Awards,” the state’s largest and most important printing competition. In addition, they garnered five national “Premier Print Awards” from the Printing Industries of America’s 59th annual competition.
Southeastern received 8 “Best of Category” awards; 6 “Awards of Excellence” and 18 "Judges Awards" from the PAF, and the "MAC Papers Award" for "Best of Show Division IV." Division IV is comprised of the state's largest printing firms by employees.

The “Florida Print Awards” is the printing industry’s largest statewide graphic arts competition. It recognizes individuals, companies and organizations responsible for the creation or production of print communications. The competition promotes excellence in the industry and recognizes companies and individuals who produce the best in print media. The “Premier Print Awards” is the industry’s most prestigious event with over 4,200 entries submitted in 2008.

Southeastern PRINTING/BLUE WATER GRAPHICS IS TOP DONOR FOR
2007 TREASURE COAST HEART WALK
STUART, FLORIDA (October 22, 2007)
For the second straight year, Southeastern Printing and its subsidiary, Blue Water Graphics, had a strong showing at the American Heart Association's annual Treasure Coast Heart Walk, which was held on Saturday, September 29th in downtown Stuart. With nearly 50 walkers on their team, the company managed to present the Heart Association with $9,100 in donations. That topped last year's contribution of $6,322. Southeastern was the single largest donor of all companies participating in the 2007 walk. The company also donated 2,000 bottles of water for all participants and volunteers. "This is the single largest charity event we participate in each year," explains Southeastern president, Don Mader. "The outpouring of compassion and generosity from our employees and their friends and family members concerning such a tremendous cause never ceases to astound me. We look forward to helping the Heart Association for many years to come."

Southeastern PRINTING ANNOUNCES FOREST STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL CERTIFICATION
STUART, FLORIDA (October 29, 2007)
Southeastern Printing of Stuart has recently received Forest Stewardship Council certification by the Smartwood division of the Rainforest Alliance. The FSC is an international non-profit organization whose membership includes representatives from environmental and social groups, the timber trade and the forestry profession, indigenous people’s organizations, community forestry groups and forest product certification organizations from around the world. FSC supports environmentally appropriate socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world’s forests.
Certification will give Southeastern's clients the opportunity to specify FSC certified paper for their print projects and display the FSC logo on the appropriate printed pieces, along with identifying themselves as being FSC compliant.
“As manufacturers of printed products, it is our inherent responsibility to partner with chain-of-custody vendors who depend on healthy forest ecosystems for sustenance. It is also our responsibility to educate our customers about the importance of using FSC-certified products so they might join us in the sweeping international effort to maintain our natural habitats for decades to come," says Southeastern's president, Don Mader.
FSC certified forests are responsibly managed according to set standards. The goal is to improve forest conservation and reduce deforestation. The FSC certification indicates that the wood product is verified and tracked through various stages and into its final state according to strict environmental, social and economic standards.

In addition, they garnered a coveted "Benny" statue and six national “Premier Print Awards” from the Printing Industries of America’s 58th annual competition.
Southeastern received 11“Best of Category” awards; 8 “Awards of Excellence” and 12 "Judges Awards" from the PAF, as well as the “Heidelberg USA Award” for “Best Annual Report" for Martin Memorial Health Systems; the "Shinohara Tech USA Award" for "Best Small Press" for Interiors by the Sea, Jupiter; the "Unisource Award" for "Most Creative Use of Paper" for the Terre Blanche Golf Club brochure; and the "MAC Papers Award" for "Best of Show Division IV" for the Icon Vallarta brochure. Division IV is comprised of the state's largest printing firms by employees.
Out of 5,156 entries submitted for the national PIA competition, only 2% won a "Benny." Icon Vallarta, designed by Bridger Conway Advertising of Miami, represents the "Best of Category" of all submissions in the brochure/catalog/flyer classification.
